Keep one record working across four buildings and a 24-hour urgent care clinic. When this job is done well, nobody notices it.

The role

What this job actually is

One record across four clinics is the promise the whole practice is built on, and it is a promise made of network links, an electronic record, imaging systems and about three hundred devices. This role keeps it standing.

Lloyd Center never closes, so there is a shared out-of-hours phone one week in four. It is paid as a standby week, and the calls are rare because most of what breaks is caught in hours.

Day to day

What you would be doing

  • First and second line support across the four clinics, in person and remotely
  • Manage the device estate: builds, patching, encryption and retirement
  • Support the electronic record and its interfaces alongside the vendor
  • Run access reviews and starter/leaver processes to the practice's HIPAA standard
  • Hold the out-of-hours phone one week in four for the 24-hour clinic

What we need

What you would bring

  • Two years of IT support, ideally in a regulated or clinical environment
  • Windows, Microsoft 365 and networking fundamentals
  • An understanding of what HIPAA asks of the systems you touch
  • A driving licence, since this post covers four buildings

How hiring works

Four steps, about three weeks

  1. Apply

One form and a CV. No cover letter — we would rather read your answer to the two questions on the form.

  2. A call, thirty minutes

With the person you would report to. It is a conversation about the work, not a competency grid.

  3. A half-day in clinic

Paid at your day rate. You see how we actually run, and the team you would join gets a say.

  4. Offer, with the band shown

The number comes from the published band and where you sit in it. We tell you which point and why.
