The role
What this job actually is
Lloyd Center urgent care is open twenty-four hours a day, every day, and the median overnight wait is eighteen minutes. Nights are staffed by a physician, two registered nurses and a medical assistant — never by one nurse and a phone line.
The rota is published three months ahead and changes only with your agreement. The rate below includes the night differential rather than hiding it in a footnote, which is the same reason every band on this site is on the job page rather than in a conversation after the second interview.

Day to day
What you would be doing
- Triage walk-in presentations and re-triage the waiting room as it changes
- Assess, treat and discharge within agreed protocols, escalating to the physician on shift
- Wound closure, splinting, cannulation, catheterisation and point-of-care testing
- Hand over to the day team with the record already written, not afterwards
- Support the nurse advice line between presentations
What we need
What you would bring
- Current Oregon RN licence
- BLS and ACLS; PALS within three months of starting
- Two years of urgent care, emergency or acute medical experience
- Willingness to work a permanent night pattern — this post is not rotated onto days
