What this job actually is
This is the role the practice was built around. You would hold a panel of about nine hundred patients at the Pearl District clinic — a ceiling enforced by the rota rather than a target anyone asks you to beat, and the reason a follow-up here runs nineteen minutes instead of eleven.
Four clinical days and one administrative day, taken as a day and not as an evening. Prior authorisations, referral chasing and inbox triage belong to a team of nine who are not you. The chart follows the patient across all four buildings, so nobody arrives asking you to retake a history a colleague took last Tuesday.

Day to day
What you would be doing
- Hold a capped panel of roughly 900 patients, with continuity as the first scheduling rule
- Run four clinical days a week, mixing booked appointments and same-day slots held back until 7am
- Order and interpret your own diagnostics, including the imaging you request
- Refer within Medice's eighteen specialties, or externally where we cannot help
- Take part in the weekly complex-case meeting, which is rostered rather than voluntary
What we need
What you would bring
- MD or DO with board certification in family medicine, or eligibility within twelve months
- Current Oregon medical licence, or the ability to obtain one before you start
- DEA registration
- Experience of an electronic record, and an opinion about what a good one does
- A second language is valued and paid for, not merely welcomed
