The role
What this job actually is
Non-invasive cardiology across the Lloyd Center clinic, with a weekly echo list and access to the same-day ECG and 24-hour Holter service every Medice building runs. The department sees roughly nine hundred new referrals a year and turns most of them around inside nine days.
The clinician who requests an image reads it. That is the whole difference from most posts of this kind, and it is the sentence three of our cardiologists gave as their reason for moving. It also means the report and the consultation are the same conversation rather than two.

Day to day
What you would be doing
- Run general cardiology clinics for new and follow-up patients across the week
- Report your own transthoracic echocardiograms, ECGs and ambulatory monitoring
- Advise primary care colleagues on referrals through the shared record, not by letter
- Contribute to the heart failure pathway shared across the four clinics
- Supervise one OHSU trainee per rotation, which is rostered and paid
What we need
What you would bring
- MD or DO with board certification in cardiovascular disease
- Level II or above in adult transthoracic echocardiography
- Current Oregon medical licence, or the ability to obtain one before you start
- A track record of reading your own studies rather than signing off someone else's
